Antique original 17th-century engraving of classical columns by Joachim von Sandrart (1606-1688) from Vincenzo Giustiniani’s “Galleria Giustiniana del Marchese Vincenzo Giustiniani”, which was first published in circa 1630. This beautiful old master engraving is framed in a new modern sleek black wood and glass frame.
Sandrart was a German engraver who traveled to Rome to work for Vincenzo Giustiniani. Sandrart employed several Dutch and French artists to complete Galleria including Theodor Matham, Michael Natalis, Renier Persin, Cornelis Bloemaert, Claude Mellan, and Francois Perrier.

Dimensions: Engraving including Frame measures 16 1/2″ high, 33 1/8″ wide / long and 3/4″ deep. Engraving itself measures 10 1/8″ high and 26 3/8″ wide.
Condition: Wear consistent with age and use, the engraving having age-related oxidation as well as a vertical crease from being folded. See pictures as they are a part of the condition report!
