Each with an elongated acanthus leaf rising from the s-scroll the putti slightly recline on. One putti cradles a bird in its arms and the other holds a nest filled with chicks. Fine pair of antique 19th C. bronze Louis XVI style chenets with one putti cradling a bird in its arms , and the other holds a nest filled with chicks. Exceptionally lovely pair. They could also be used as bookends or some other decorative use since they do not have the wrought iron bars that support and elevate the wood in the firplace!
Dimensions: 18.50 inches high, 13.50 inches wide / long and 5 inches deep.
Condition: Wear consistent with age and use . Polished but still showing minor tarnishing to bronze consistent with age. Piece of foliage missing from one of the chenets. Books not included See pictures as they are part of the condition report!
