An absolutely phenomenal and large late English Elizabeth I period carved panelled Oak Coffer, the front having four panels depicting floral arrangements in urns / vases further decorated throughout with geometric roundels and lozenges, ca. 1600. This is a superb piece and a exceedingly rare piece, usually found in museums and not often encountered in private collections!

Dimensions: 31 1/4 inches high, 65 1/2 inches wide / long and 24 inches deep.
Condition: Wear consistent with age and use. Splits, cracks, old pest damage, chips, splits, nicks, and mars associated with age. No key. The coffer is sturdy, structurally sound, solid and very heavy with a beautiful ebonized patina. See pictures as they are a part of the condition report!
