English Cased Dark Red Oxblood Glass Vase, Gold Enameled Bird & Foliage, attributed to Thomas Webb


A beautiful antique 19th century English cased enameled dark red oxblood art glass vase with gold enameled bird, insects & foliage, ca 1870, attributed to Thomas Webb. The vase is hand enameled painted in shades of raised gold with a bird on a branch that is looking to a spider which is in the process of making a web, as well as a dragonfly and lots of stunningly hand painted leaves and flowers, the bottom marked I.P. 264.

Dimensions: 6 1/2″ high, having a diameter at its widest of approximately 5 1/4″.

Condition: Wear consistent with age and use. Minor flea bites and scratches to body, some wear to gold leaf painting and inclusion bubbles from manufacturing, all commensurate with age and use. See pictures as they are a part of the condition report!
