Exceptional Antique 18/19th c. Oil on Panel Continental Landscape Painting
A truly exceptional and well executed fine antique 18 / 19th century continental school landscape painting on a walnut panel depicting a river, row boat, house, trees along with fields and the view of a town in the distance with a windmill. The whole composition is stunning to look at and it is magnificently painted. Unfortunately I have not found a signature, but this artist definitely know how to paint. We have left the painting in original antique condition as we acquired it yet added a stunning new gilt wood frame.
A fun painting to look at and a great addition to any room where it can be enjoyed and appreciated!

Dimensions: 16 1/4 inches high, 18 7/8 inches wide / long and 1 5/8 inches deep. Painting itself measures 9.50 inches high by 12 1/8 inches wide.
Condition: Wear consistent with age and use. We have left the painting itself in the condition we acquired it. The varnish is old and yellowing so if you really want to make this painting shine it could be cleaned and re-varnished. There is age related wear and cracquelure to the paint. The panel seems to have been cut down to a smaller size, I would guess that most likely the artist used a panel they had laying around and cut it down for this work. Proportionally I do not believe this was part of a large painting. New Frame. See pictures as they are a part of the condition report!
