Exquisite Antique French Bronze Figural Clock, Diana goddess of the Hunt
Exquisitely fine cast bronze antique 19th C. French statue clock depicting Diana, Roman Goddess of the hunt, the moon, and nature leaning against a tree stump into which the clock mechanism is incorporated. She is immaculately portrayed in a relaxed pose holding her arrow quiver while her bow and hunting horn lean against the other side of the tree stump along with her hunting dog. The clock's face is inscribed “Pincon, 95.97 bd magenta, Paris”, the first name is illegible. This exceptional bronze work sits on a separate bronze footed marble base.
