Fine Pair of Antique Carved Walnut French Renaissance / Gothic style Door Panels
An amazingly fine pair of antique 19th century French carved walnut Renaissance / Gothic style door panels, one having a carving of a male head, bearded with what appears to be a helmet, the other having a carving of a female head with a bonnet and a heart shaped necklace. Both of these splendidly carved doors have mythological figures and scrolls carved as well as iron gothic tracery hardware and locks that each comes with a key. The locks work.
We salvaged these stunning architectural pieces from a 19th century Renaissance credenza and without a doubt these are some of the nicest carved doors / panels that we have had the pleasure to sell. These would look stunning mounted to a wall or incorporated somewhere. Truly stunning and rare one of a kind pieces!
Come take a look at these wonderful pieces in person at our historic showroom located at 137 Stockton St., Hightstown, NJ 08520!
