French Art Deco Rosewood Platform Sideboard, manner of Jules Leleu, ca. 1930
Fine French period art deco sideboard, ca. 1930; in the manner of Jules Leleu. The case raised on a stepped platform base having four doors, the center two door opening to reveal a pair of drawers and a shelf inside and the two other doors having two shelves. The interior is sumptuously lined in birds eye maple. A true gem and a stunning work of art that will be the center of attention to any room it is displayed in.
This is piece is a masterpiece of fine rosewood, Macassar ebony, birds eye maple and decadent hardware. The sideboard was professionally refinished in France. The french polish finish is just sumptuous and was applied using the authentic and time consuming hand applied method. There are no shortcuts with this but the end result is just spectacular and will astound and make you smile everyday you see it!
Dimensions: 39 3/8 inches high, 98.75 inches wide / long and 21.75 inches deep.
Condition: Professionally refinished in Europe. Left door lock does not work but it will come with a key so that you can easily use it to open and close the door.
